Quite easy actually.

Firstly, You need to make sure that your computer supports a bootable CD.

Most new computers do support this feature, hence it shouldn't be a problem.

Go into the BIOS and make sure that BOOT FROM CD is set to ON or YES

Also make sure that the boot sequence in the BIOS is set to CDROM,A,C

put in a bootable CD in your cdrom drive, hit the reset button, and let the magic happen :-)
