Hey Marty, I have a similar problem, Cd spins and all, but no sound. I have installed the driver, but during boot time it fails with “device busy” or something. My problem is that I have USB connected speakers, and I can’t find any drivers for this. Someone will have the answers.. Sorry I couldn’t help you, but I know how you feel… but the wait will be worth it… no more “Blue Screen of Death”  or skipping … oohh I hate that !!J   Robert Mt.
