Do you have a PS/2 port (psaux) in your computer? I do, and it keeps Linux
from seeing that I have my mouse in ttyS0. After I install, I have to
manually edit /etc/X11/XF86Config and change "PS/2" to "Microsoft" and
"psaux" to "ttyS0".

When I installed 7.0-2, I entered "linux text" at the boot: prompt, and
that gave me a true text install. I had to do this because the graphic
install does not provide full keyboard function in the "disk druid"
section.
