Let me ask another question.. I've been wanting to upgrade to 7.0 (or the
very latest Mandrake) which might fix my current problem, but I have been
reluctant because I had a problem installing 7.0 from the start (before
installing 6.1). If I upgrade to 7.0 and have problems, is there an easy
way to get back to the (partially) working 6.1? I've heard various horror
stories about upgrading and I don't want to lose all I've done. Is it a
simple process, or will I have to save the important files and install 7.X
completely fresh?
Otherwise, I guess I'll just manipulate my system without Xwindows or keep
trying to figure out what is wrong.
