Almost true, What I would do if I had a clean disk is start the linux install
just enough get a shell by doing alt F2 - F6 until I found a console that would
allow me to type

fdisk /dev/hda

I would make a 16meg linux partition at the front of the disk. and then I would
reboot and use Windoze fdisk to make my WinDOS partition as big as I wanted it
(Fat32 doesn't care about the 1024 cylinder boundary) Set up windoze and then
set up Linux. When it asked me where to put lilo I would then put it in
/dev/hda1.
NOT the Master Boot Record. You want to set the 16meg linux partition to mount
at /boot.

I say almost true because lilo wants to be within that first 1024 cylinders.
