[newbie] LiNuX kPPP Help!

OK, This is the same problem a lot of people have! I CAN'T CONNECT TO MY ISPL     Whenever I connect, it IMMEDIATlEY says that the ppp daemon has unexpectedly died.  When I run debug, it says that there was no password supplied, or some sort of similar error.  I have a 56k Rockwell KFLEX.  it works under Win98 & Win2k (How I'm writing this!).  Once I get connected, then I'll work fixing the rest of my probz....   Thanks So Much, Julien Dumoulin-Smith
