Hi, guys! I've been lurking and working. I installed Mandrake about a
week ago, and have been gradually getting everything up and running. The
only thing I was missing was Internet connectivity. I have been
following all the comments re: "noauth" and the use of Kppp through
Outlook (MS :) I know) . I have just connected via Mandrake and wanted
to say thank you to all who have been answering all the questions for
the other posters. Your answers enabled me to throw off the chains of
tyranny! :) I have been looking into Linux for about a month, and have
read Learning Red Hat Linux (it's installed on my old 486), and quite a
few other, heftier tomes on Linux. I must say I love the environment,
and have been playing with themes, sound effects, and am looking forward
to getting more involved with it on a regular basis. My next step is to
install Star Office. I have previously used the Windows version, so am
familiar with it. I especially like the price. :) Anyways, enough for my
first Linux-enabled posting. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Thanks
again to all the experienced Linuxers helping out all the newbies! :)

P.S. Any suggestions re: ICQ versions for Linux? Kicq?
