[newbie] simple network

I am attempting just to set up a simple 2 computer home network using Mandrake 7.0 and Linksys "network in a box" It works under Win98. Anyone know of any "simple" network documentation for this? All I've read so far seems a tad out of my league...for now.       Thank you in advance,                                     Dan
