I have been hosed several times now by installing enlightenment themes - not
sure if it's my fault or if there are a lot of buggy ethemes out there...

Anyway, now when I boot Linux, it gets to the ascii mandrake logon screen, then
changes video modes as if to go to the X-based logon, which it usually does, but
then it bounces back to the ascii logon screen, changes video modes, back to the
ascii screen and rapidly cycles back and forth this way indefinately (makes me
dizzy). I have just enough time to fire off a couple of keystrokes while at the
ascii screen before it switches, and in this way I am able to log onto root,
then do the shutdown command, two charactors at a time. It then shuts down as
normal.

1. How do I boot Linux into command line mode without invoking the graphical
logon screen?

2. Any suggestions on what to do once I get control of my system, to get X
running properly again?

3. Is there an ethemes anonymous support group I can join, to help me break my
ethemes habit?
