Hi, I have been having difficulty configuring realplayer 7 with my system. I have no sound with realplayer only a indicator showing that it is playing. I setup realplayer 7 as root user and configured it to work with netscape which worked although sound quality was poor. I wanted to use it as another user so that I didn't have to login as root. I gave permission to myself as a user for the realplay and for esd to try to make it work as another user. It did work for a time last night, but the system crashed a while later where I had to turn the power off to get any control over the system. I used lothar and my sound card is configured as Yamaha 030 which works although the sound quality is not great! I also checked the CD player kscd 1.2.7 which has perfect sound! My question what do I need to check to make realplayer work??? What was likely to have been messed up??? Thanks in advance, Mike
