Hi, Dennis here, you may want to go into Linuxconfig , networking and click
on PPP/SLIP/PLIP button and create PPP connection there. My KPPP didn't seem
to work until I had both configured, but then I am a complete newbie and mostly
just flounder around until something works. Otherwise the problem in KPPP
could be your modem device setting. I have mine set on ttys1 (com2), as the
system BIOS listed it that way, You may want to go looking by trying ttys0,
ttys1 etc. until one of them gives you the feedback. From what I am reading the
/dev/modem should not be selected and neither should the /dev/cua0 and so
forth. The ttys' are your best bet. Good luck.
