Hi All The saga of this controller is finished. I'm taking the bandwidth to thank all that have contributed ideas to me, and clear up any misunderstandings that might have been created. The actual fix turned out to be * just * turn off PnP setting in the bios. LM 7.0 regular install then is sufficient. No additional tinkering was needed. Again, thanks to all that have assisted me.
