FWIW, I installed MDK 7.1 onto a hard drive connected to a PCI Promise
Ultra66 IDE controller card and had *NO* promblems. Mandrake deserves a pat
on the back. <wearing a BIG grin>

To install Caldera eDesktop 2.4 onto a HD connected to a Promise Ultra66 was
a bit complicated, so there is a Step-by-Step to walk a newbie through it
(http://www.linux.nf/stepbystep.htm)(click the "Ultra66" link and then click
the "Promise" link).

Hope that helps someone,
Matt
