Alan, when you shutdown, do you have any copies of Netscape running? If
Netscape is running when you shutdown, it will be restarted the next time
you log back in. If two Netscape windows are open when you log out, two will
load when you come back. There is a Netscape lock file that sometimes gets
created and must be deleted or moved from it's location to stop the lockfile
error message, and to regain access to your shortcuts and settings (assuming
this is the same lock file error I've gotten on occasion). If this is the
type of lock file error I've had, it should tell you it's name so you can
search for it (I forget the path), and it should tell you that you need to
delete it.

>Whatever I did I'm not sure, but now netscape loads up twice at >startup.
>Then I get some error about "netscape lock file or program loading >twice".
>Is there a startup config file somewhere? How do I set it up so that
>netscape doesn't load at all during startup. Thanks so much.
