Hello all,
I have an interesting problem... Yesterday I finally got my home
network finished and working. At the time I had finished it, I was able to
log onto the Internet fine with my modem. However, today when I turned on
my computer, I was not able to get online. I receive an error saying that
my modem is not correct or something to that effect (I don't recall the
exact message) After seeing this, I looked at my LinuxConf and found that I
didn't have a device for pp0 anymore, but I did have an entry under my
ppp/slip/... tab, just no pp0 adapter... When I went to put an adapter in
and try my modem, I got an error saying that my modem was locked?! I'm
quite confused and not sure why my modem would be locked if the computer
couldn't turn it on in the first place...? :) Anyone know a solution to
this? I really appreciate all help... thanks in advance-
