Sorry - think I hit "reply" instead of "reply all" earlier. I fixed my problem. Maybe
my
experience will be of use to others. I just changed the settings on ABIT m'board bios
to
"default". I had previously shutoff "PnP", but evidently that wasn't enough. Anyway,
everything went smoothly after that and installed perfectly.
