Assuming you have Samba running OK and you have set up smb.conf with the
domain name, and also assuming that you're using Samba 2.0.6 then the first
thing you need to do is to go to your domain controller and start server
manager. Then select add to domain/windows nt4 worktsation and enter the
netbios name of your linux machine.

Now at your linux box enter:

smbpasswd -j domain-name -r pdc-netbios-name -U admin-acct-on-NT

Substitute your domain name, pdc name and admin account id as necessary.

You will of course need to ensure that linux can reach the PDC somehow - try
pinging its netbios name first.

Personally I can't wait for samba to work as a fully functional PDC!
