no one can be if you set it up right using linuxconf you set who can do what. as far as x goes what you explained doesnt sound right you installed linux and now your going to install x?? i maybe new but x was installed with linux during the installation program? i had problems with it at first, i just decided to quit trying to take charge of installing it and run the automatic feature, booted right up no probs no config needed,
