There is a small hole in the CDROM just below the tray. Take a
paperclip, straighten it out and insert the paperclip into this little
hole till you feel resistance. Now, push until the CD tray comes out,
replace the CD and you're on your way. I don't know why this is
happening on some and not all CDROMs, although the only thing I can come
up with is that there's an incompatabilty thing between the drivers
being used by the install progam and the actual hardware itself.
