The main file is "dependent" on them. > John Part of the problem is the Mandrake Update that was included in 7.1 Go to one of the mirror sites and from the 7.1 Update dir. download the Mandrake Update 7.1-9 Rpm. After it is installed you can update most without everything being selected as a dependency. For those couple where this is still a problem they can be downloaded and installed as you did Mandrake Update. Charles
