In the new kde2 there is in my desktop a thin panel on the top of the screen that contains drop down menus (File, New, Bookmarks, Desktop, Windows, Help). It is in addition to the kde panel at the bottom of the screen. I do not know how it got there. When I login into kde as root, that top panel is not there. 1) I would like to get rid of it.
