Hi Rog,

Have you tried it from a command line without fetchmailconf yet? If not
it might be a good idea just to test things out.

It should work something like this:

fetchmail -u rog mail.slammingrooves.com <ENTER>

OK, I did that, and it said:

1 message for rog at reality.slammingrooves.com <22434 octets>.
reading message 1 of 1 <22434 octets> fetchmail: SMTP connect to localhost
failed
fetchmail: SMTP transaction error while fetching from mail.slammingrooves.com
fetchmail: Query status=10 <SMTP>

Does that mean anything to you?

then sit back and see what is reported back to the screen. From the way
the session reads in your post it's having trouble talking to Sendmail on
your system as fetchmail is in the process of conversing with the mail
server on the other end.

Umm...hope this doesn't sound too ignorant, but I don't use sendmail...or at
least I don't have it configured.
