[newbie] Cardfile program?

Hi everyone,
Since a while I am looking for a simple cardfile / Rolodex like program.
I need a very simple program to stash all kinds of scraps of info in, sort of like the
(excuse the reference) Windows3.11 cardfile program.

Does anyone know of something like it?
I have looked over freshmeat and linuxapps, but have not found anything small, simple 
and
useful.
Any tips will be appreciated :)
