Hi all, I have a fairly stable installation of 7.2 and KDE2.1beta1. My
problem is I just added another 64mb of ram and it shows up on the initial
boot before the OS comes up and it shows up on the control center on hda
which has 7.1 installed. It also shows on the first pixmap on boot (the one
with the rough looking tux) on both hda and hdc where I have 7.2 installed.
But, in 7.2 in the control center when I look in information - memory, it is
only showing 64mg ???? I have added the append = "mem=128" to lilo.conf but
it does not seem to have made a difference to what the control center
reports. Any place else I should edit to get the system to see the mem and
use it? Oh, I put the append line just as I typed it above and in each of
the image sections as the last statement after read-only. Please let me know
if I did that correctly. "Running Linux" the book is not to clear on how to
put the append line in lilo.conf . Thanks again for all the help
this list is so willing to give.
