You have a package that requires rpm4. There will be more of them rather
than less. If you had managed to get rpm to take it, you probably would have
had a dependency on a version of glibc that you do not yet have. This big
move to rpm4 and a new glibc is ready for the next distro and while it will
be backwards compatible to installations of previous packages, previous
systems are unable to install its packages.
