My floppy/zip drives are having IO errors in Mandrake 7.2. I hacked the /etc/fstab file and tried setuid and set it so that all users can use it... but to no avail. The messages I get are when in root "input/output error". And in a regular user "Permission Denied". I thought maybe its a lock file or something in there but can't find it. Any hepl is appreciated.
