Hans....your hard drive is likely completely used by windows 
in that there is no free (unpartitioned) space on it.  Your 
C: drive is probably too full of files to be able to resize 
it so as to be able to free up some unpartitioned space for 
linux to create a partition to use for itself.  I suggest you 
copy all data (all directories and files) from D: and then 
have Linux use D:
