I have recently upgraded to KDE 2.1 following civileme's instructions and noting other information on the list. I have a problem with sound: Previously it worked fine with KDE 2.0, I have a Soundblaster live player 5.1, I get no sound on start up, System sounds do not work, however directly playing the wave files works, Real Player plays real audio files, The microphone works. The mixer shows 'Creative SB live, the volumes are turned up, Trying to configure in Hardrake, the wizard opens showing the correct card but when trying to play the sound file, no sound is heard, I've tried sndconfig, but that gives a message which I can't remember, but says something including modprobe and resources being used, System sounds work in Gnome.
