[newbie] Merge several html docs into one?

Is there a quick and easy way to merge several html docs into one file? Can 
the images also be merged at the same time?
I have several html docs in a book and want to merge them into a single html 
file, there are also several .gif files I would like to keep in these docs. 
Then I would like to use htmldoc to turn them into pdf files. I know I can do 
several html files in htmldoc but right at the end I just keep getting 
segmentation faults.
Or does someone know a better tool to use for this?
