Just to add my 2 (choose your currency) worth, I have been using Kmail for a
couple of years and never had any problems, I just copied 819 e mails (I keep
interesting ones from this group - it saves searching tha archive) into my
inbox and sent myself 2 more, it accepted them with no problem. So it does
not appear to be a problem with the size of the inbox, I would guess that i
you have it set to delete mail from server and that there is a problem there
somewhere.
