[newbie] LM8-comand not found

Dear all,

I have installed LM8 in a new PC and everything seems fine. However when trying to run 
perl or any other sh-scripts in my user environment in a terminal I get the message 
"comand not found" although chmod +x was set.

Can someone help please.
