on of thje things you will have to do is on the wingate server, find a 
"hosts" file (may/should be in the "c:/"  directory) this file identifies the 
IP address of the machines attached to the wingate server (and As far as I 
remember, the wingate version I used uses tcp/ip) this file should be copied 
and edited with a text editor to reflect the IP address of the new machine. 
the hosts file in winders boxes should be in the root directory or at least 
in a directory the "path" statement (in autoexec.bat) covers. In my install 
of Mandrake 8.0    
I would also recomend that you make a linux box the gateway box (ie; your 
wingate server is now the default gateway, when you use  it to connect to the 
internet) if possible. the level of security and overhead (the power taken 
away from other tasks) is much, much, MUCH, better using my mandrake box as 
the default route to the Internet, and allowing the winders boxes on this 
little network to connect to the net through the linux box .
