yes. I have had that msg before - but only when I have tried to install from
a CDROM. Not sure why it does that. The way I solve it is 1) reboot, 2) boot
into a different o/s like Win, 3) reboot again, 4) get your installation
cdrom in again. Poof! the error "kernel panic" errors goes away.

If you get this during a regular working day then try the same as above -
like booting into a diff o/s. Not sure that it will work though :-)
