I donwload "JavaTM 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition Version 1.3.1
for Linux" and I install it as explained in
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/install-linux.html

execute the rpm.bin file and then as root
rpm -iv jre-1.3.1.i386.rpm
export NPX_PLUGIN_PATH=<jre>/plugin/i386/ns4
where <jre> i supouse is /usr/java

But when I try java applets like for example:

http://192.9.48.9/products/plugin/1.3/demos/applets.html

Netscape insist that it needs a java plugin.

Any sugestions will be apreciated.
Thanks in advange.
