How do I log on and how do I fix this > problem? You could update kdebase and see if that fixes it, but first I'd try Control Center | System | Login manager. You'll need to be root. To login as root just type 'root' in the user line and then enter your password. In Login Manager you should be able to remove the unwanted user (process) icons. I suggest you don't add a root icon, as you can always get to root as I mentioned above. No root icon is the default, and IIRC, there's security reasons to not have root present in KDM. -- Tom Brinkman Galveston Bay
