I have a K7VZA motherboard with an onboard VIA VT82C686A AC97 audio sound card. I can't get my sound to work. I tried to open mixer and it give me an error saying that it failed and that it might be because the permissions aren't set up and that I need to log in as root and 'chmod a+x mixer'. Well I did that and it still gave me the same error. I am using Mandrake 7.0. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Curt Stanton [EMAIL PROTECTED]
