Hi,

There's a very strange behaviour I noted when I try to create a script in
the /etc/rc.d/init.d directory (logged as root, of course), and give it
execute permissions.

After creating that script by means of the KWrite editor (let's say it's
name is xxx), when I run it ( ./xxx), I get the following message:
"bash: ./xxx : no file or directory"
as if the file wasn't there.

If, on the other hand, I copy any of the scripts that are in that directory
(cp crond xxx), and afterwards modify my xxx script, I can run it with no
problem.

Any idea of this behaviour ?

Thanks in advance.

                                Aldo
