There are heaps of them, I think trinux is one http://trinux.org/

There is one I have used in the past, its excellent, has a text config menu
and can be moved to a harddisk if you want and then back again...


very handy... wish I could remember the name of it..

I think the Tom's Root-Boot disk set can fit on a floppy (or two). Ob-
viously there's not a whole lot that can be stuffed onto one or two
floppies, but it's a decent starting point for a small setup. Slackware
is still (as I recall, it's been sometime) set up so that the various
components can be put on floppy disks.
