Sometimes it's not Linux that has the problem, but rather there is an incompatability in your hardware or your configuration. What works for someone else may not work for you. I have found that advice is just something to give me some ideas to start my experimentation, but not an end in itself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not underestimating the value of advice. A hammer is a great tool to drive a nail, but to countersink it, a nail punch is required. Advice and experimentation work together like that. But hey! The pioneer spirit goes with the Linux territory.
