Hi, I download the newest kernel from the internet and compiled a new image. But when I replace my old kernel in /boot directory ie:old->vmlinuz-2.2.17-21mdk new:vmlinuz-2.4.9 and change the link of vmlinuz to the new kernel. And Systemp.map link to the new System.map-2.4.9. But when I restart, the kernel I read from "uname -a" is still 2.2.17-21mdk. and the System.map is linked back to System.map-2.2.17-21mdk. Do you know why?? thank you vic
