1.  The line in my fstab file for my cdrwriter is:
/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount fs=iso9660,dev=/dev/cdrom 0 0

2.  You add yourself to the "cdrom" and "cdwriter" groups in UserDrake 
(not in the fstab file).  To find Userdrake click on the KMenu button, 
then Configuration, then Other, then Userdrake.

If you still cannot access the drive perhaps someone else may know the 
solution.  Good luck.
