yes - and i want the bios to give control to the first hd on the via
controller -
because it holds the nt loader - which has an entry for linux (bootsect.lin
on my c: drive)

yes - i dont want it to give up control ;)
it has an entry for linux anyways - so i should but it up fine.....

yes - i wondered about that - since linux was showing up something labeled
"promise controller" at bootup.....

meanwhile i came across this on usenet :

it seems that lilo doesnt know which drive to boot from because the bios
doesnt recognize the drive -
and thats right - bios cant recognize the drive because its hooked to the
promise controller which has its own bios...

so how can i solve this prob ?

PS : btw - every email of u is coming twice - any reason for this ?
