Technically you could, making appropriate adjustments for calls that don't 
exist for the 603PPC that do for the G3 and G4, but where are you going to 
get the compiler?  There is a PPC linux which might provide that and once you 
got rpm-rebuild working, it would be relatively simple to do the rest, as 
long as there were drivers for your devices.

But it is definitely not for the faint of heart or the short on time.
