Mandrake has never failed to detect and configure any of the Creative SoundBlaster cards that I've ever tried, up to and including the SB Live!. Support for the Audigy is "iffy", so don't bother with it, yet. If you only want sound, get one of the SB 16 PCI series. Cheap ($19 here), and no frills, no hassle. e.
