If the latter then give rpm the exact full path to your src rpm. i.e.  :

rpm --rebuild /home/robin/gdk-pixbuf-0.15.0-1mdk.src.rpm

If it is the former, or you are still encountering difficulties, copy and 
paste the whole history text of the console/terminal session into an email
