My / partition (/hda5) is too small (only 243MB) and is currently running at 87.1%. I want it to be at least 1GB.
Another partition /var (/hda9) is 1.1GB and only has 10% usage. I would like to switch partitions -- i.e., copy contents of /hda9 to my unused /hdc which is only a one 1G partition. Then, I'd like to remount /hda9 as / and copy the files from /hda5 to /hda9. After I've completed that, I would remount /hda5 as /var and copy the contents of hdc to it. Would this work? Would it mess up my fstab, lilo or anything else? I plan to use DiskDrake to accomplish the remounts. Tia, Andre -- Please pray the Holy Rosary to end the holocaust of abortion.
