Hi, I've got a problem with transferring large files from a windows machine to the Linux server using a network connection through Samba or FTP. The Linux machine try's to access the /dev/hda1 partition but it returns "busy". Linux then resets the IDE controller?? It does this several times before crashing permanently. At first I thought this problem could be caused by bad sectors, but after checking, it couldn't find ay. Could this problem have something to do with a buffer overflow?
