Try this:- At the lilo splash screen ,hit Esc tab, and at the boot screen, type linux(or whatever it is listed as) nobiospnp <enter>
When on desktop go to /etc/lilo.conf and edit the append=line by additng "nobiospnp" within the already established qyotes.
