Hi people,,

I have recently discovered mp3's and have downloaded a heap of
them..

For some reason they all play left channel only.. even though
the player identifies them as stereo.

I have tried to play them on windows and linux, and used kde
media player and xmms, as well as MS media player and Winamp on
windows.. all played left side only. (move the balence to right
side and you can't hear anything.)

i have downloaded a ton of them, (actually about 25) and All of
them have this issue, even though they came from many different
servers..

apart from this problem, they sound fine. so I'm abit lost.

the only thing I can think off is that i used winblows to
download them, does windows partially disable mp3's it decides
you don't own legally??

Is there a way I can fix it? is there a way I can even
determine what the problem is???

Also, I'd like to decode some of them to waves for burning to
audio CD's, but i will burn them in windows. (USB HP burner).

so is there a tool that takes an mp3 as the first input, and the
output wave name as the second input???

many thanks

kindest regards

Franki.
