1. Thanks to Derek J., I downloaded the boot.iso image from ... ftp://ftp.rediris.es/pub/linux/distributions/mandrake/2005/i586
2. I burned the image to disk. 3. I booted the machine using the disk. It had no trouble detecting my network card and bringing up the network. 4. When it asks for the following, I fill in the following information. . FTP server: ftp.gwdg.de . Mandrakelinux directory: pub/linux/mandrakelinux/devel/2005/i586 . Login: (blank) . Password: (blank) 5. The message comes up "Please wait, loading program to memory." The progress bar gets about 30 % across the screen and then it goes back to the screen asking what type of installation, and asks for all the information to be put in again. Can someone please advise as to how to fix this or if there is a better server to get the boot.iso or a better place for the actual install? Thanks, -- d33p th1nk3r -- d33p th1nk3r
